One of my most used and favorite features in the apple world (and I am fairly certain it exists in the other ecosystems too) is Do Not Disturb (DND). This feature is very useful in a wide variety of situations like when you need to focus on work or want to sleep undisturbed.
The way DND works is by turning off all the notifications coming into that device. This means that any phone calls, emails, text message, app notifications will not display on the screen nor will any sound be played from your device.
Sometimes we want to make sure that important people (family, boss, best friends) can still get ahold of us while removing other distractions. This is where the fine tuning of DND can come in. You can allow “favorited” people to get ahold of you at any time. Another example I often give is you can set it so someone can call twice in quick succession to get past the DND function. This can be useful if someone is calling from a number not in your favorites in an emergency.
If you are interested in hearing more about it or setting it up on your device let me know.
